Pictogram

This pictogram of a family demonstrates balance, shape and movement through the piece. There is a slight color contrast and a variation of size between the child and the other elements, but it is still unified because the child's darker green color leads the eye upward to the rest of the pictogram instead of centering solely on it. Although the form is broken down into several parts, the white space only helps the piece balance by separating the family from the roof top, only to make the viewer mentally complete the image by depicting the whole image- at a glance- into a complete house.
